How To Recover Your Spectrum Services After A Power Outage?

 

Sometimes, when Spectrum services and electrical power are restored after an outage, it’s essential to reset your Spectrum device in order to restore the services.

For Resetting Your Spectrum Receiver (Cable Box)

Plug in your receiver after unplugging it for 60 seconds.

For Resetting Your Standalone Modem Or Your Gateway

  1. Disconnect the power cable and take out the batteries from the modem.
  2. Insert the batteries and connect the power cable again after 30 seconds.
  3. Wait for 2 minutes for ensuring that the completion of reset. The connection lights of your modem should be stable and not blinking.
  4. Check the internet connection for making sure it’s working.

For Resetting Your Wi-Fi Router And Your Modem

  1. Disconnect the power cable and take out the batteries from the modem.
  2. Disconnect the power cable from the WiFi router.
  3. Insert the batteries and connect the power cable to the modem again after 30 seconds.
  4. Wait for two minutes for ensuring that the completion of reset. The connection lights of your modem should be stable and not blinking.
  5. Connect the power cable to the WiFi router again. The router will finish powering on after approximately 2 minutes.
  6. Check the internet connection for making sure it’s working.

Please file an outage notification if the Spectrum services are not restored even after following the above-mentioned steps.
