I am receiving communication failure alert or my camera is offline, what do I do?

 

If you have XFINITY Home Security and your camera is offline, you can follow the given steps:

At first, verify whether the power cable is plugged properly into the camera or not.

If yes, then unplug the camera from the power outlet to reboot it. Now, plug it back in. This will take a couple of minutes.

Xfinity Home Security users get alerts for the lost network connection on their touchscreen controller. In case, the network connection is lost, restore Internet connectivity back as quickly as possible.

Now, test your camera by moving it closer to the touchscreen controller or the hub.

In case, the problem persists, with the help of Xfinity Home app or the Subscribe Portal reboot your camera.

If you are still facing the problem, reset the camera.
