On 22nd February, TomTom announced a brand new navigation gadget, TomTom RIDER 550, for motorbike riders. This gadget has various new features that make it smarter, faster and better connected.
Devices with Lifetime Services no more require wires or computers to update the navigation device with traffic, world maps, and speed cameras as it comes with Wi-Fi updating. With a new quad-core processor, bikers will experience smoother navigation and increased performance and can interact using their cell phone through Siri and Google assistants. Even, read the messages out loud through a headset.
Also, planning a new adventure becomes excitable as TomTom RIDER 550 allows user to access TomTom Road Trips – download exclusive 150+ riding routes. It allows bikers to explore the world’s best rides and sync them to their TomTom RIDER 550. In addition, the device let them browse and select routes and personalize them accordingly. Similar to the previous TomTom RIDER models, bike riders can plan and ride hilly climbs, winding roads, and round-trip routes through 4.3” touchscreen. Even, they can save the rides they have taken on the unit directly.

At the price of €399, plenty of biker-specific POI (Point of Interest) will be available for TomTom RIDER 550 users from April’s first week in Europe. Pre-sales will be accessible to bikers from mid-March.
